INCAT HULL 094 / 100m Wave Piercing Catamaran - HVACR
ETCS worked with AHI Carrier to supply and install refrigeration pipework for the heating system throughout the boat of Incat Hull 094.
For this build ETCS supplied and installed all hard drawn refrigeration pipework and lagging, and pair coil refrigeration pipework, for 36 x split system A/C units.
Full commissioning and sea trials were completed as part of this work to ensure all works were completed to the highest of standards.
INCAT HULL 093 / 111m Wave Piercing Catamaran - HVACR
ETCS were engaged directly by Incat to undertake the installation works on both the heating/cooling, and ventilation systems, on Incat Hull 093.
As with Incat Hull 094, ETCS supplied and installed all hard drawn refrigeration pipework and lagging, and pair coil refrigeration pipework, for 45 x split system A/C units.
This was the first build where ETCS also undertook the ventilation system scope of works. This saw the supply and installation of all ridged duct throughout the ship.
Undertaking the full mechanical services package on this boat ensured there were additional installation efficiencies, mitigating logistical issues with the installation of all mechanical equipment
Launceston General Hospital Carpark Upgrade - Electrical
This project was funded by the Tasmanian State Government, and increased the capacity of 132 spaces to quell public safety concern around a lack of parking within the area.
ETCS was engaged to undertake the supply and installation of electrical services for the addition of two new levels of undercover carparking and, as additional scope whilst undertaking the project, eight area pole lights.
We integrated this installation, inclusive of 180 weatherproof light fittings, into the existing lighting control system.
Hellyer College Science and Maths Hub Refurbishment - Electrical
ETCS were engaged to undertake the full electrical and mechanical-electrical installation for the Hellyer College $3.5 million science and maths hub refurbishment.
The detailed scope included Electrical power and lighting, data and communications, security and CCTV, monitored dry fire additions and alterations, sub-mains cabling additions and alterations, switchboard replacement and alterations, PA system, integration of the gas emergency shutdown, and mechanical electrical services.
The project was completed over a very tight programme to fit in with school holidays and as such saw ETCS have a team of 12 undertaking the works at its peak.
Devonport High School Redevelopment - HVACR
ETCS was hired to undertake the full HVACR services package of the redevelopment of Devonport High School.
The scope of works included the supply and installation of multiple variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, split-system air conditioning systems, passive and mechanical ventilation, and mechanical electrical services.
Interestingly, for this installation a fabric ductwork was specified to be installed through the gymnasium section of the project. The duct was chosen as it is easy to remove and clean, more durable to impact, and also provides a level of sound absorption.
Gordon Power Station – Fire System Upgrade
ETCS supplied and installed three new fire systems, networked together with fibre optic cable, to provide protection to Hydro Tasmania’s Gordon Power Station, including underground, access tunnel, and control room above ground . The site has 100+ fire zones throughout the complex.
The project included the installation of an EWIS (emergency warning and interface system) with custom alarm tones and evacuation tones for station flooding. We installed 12 Vesda Aspirating Detection Systems to protect electrical switch rooms, control cabinets and instrumentation boards.
Our team devised an effective protective system throughout a challenging environment. This included four beam detectors spanning 100 metres distance above the station and across the ceiling. Additionally, new Vesda systems in the tunnel access allow for fog and water build-up to be vented from the system without causing false alarms.
St Brendan-Shaw College – Fire System Upgrade
ETCS was approached to supply and install a single new fire system, consolidating the two existing on-site fire systems into one master panel – thus enabling staff on site to easily identify and manage the fire alarm detection from one easy location.
We also updated the site’s detection system with new addressable points, to enable staff to pinpoint exactly which device (and location) was activated.
As part of the project, ETCS supplied and installed over 600 detectors throughout the college, along with running over 2,000 metres of fire cable.
OneCare (The Manor) – Fire System Upgrade
ETCS worked closely with leading aged-care provider OneCare, to specify and install a new fire detection system throughout their Kings Meadows facility.
The scope of works included a new fire panel and a building-occupant warning system with zone controlled areas. It enables the facility to faster react to fire alarms in their immediate area. This project saw over 500 addressable devices installed throughout the premises along with four amps to control the evacuation system.
